Why Security Systems are Important For All Areas

‘Just a minority of people living in rural areas have installed house alarms despite the recent spate of burglaries by roving gangs targeting farms and isolated areas, a new survey reveals.’ This is alarming, but an important fact to understand.

“A survey conducted for Zurich Insurance found that just 37pc of people living in rural areas in Co Donegal and Connacht have home alarms, while only 40pc of people in rural areas in Munster have alarms. Overall, 45pc of the population of Ireland do not have house alarms, although those living in Leinster – including the Greater Dublin Area – are most likely to have an alarm. ‘It’s concerning to see a significant proportion of Irish households taking home security so lightly, particularly in rural areas where homes are known to be extra vulnerable to break-ins,'” (Allison Bray, independent.ie)

This information may represent the rural parts of Ireland, but it does bring up the point about those living in rural areas believing that having effective security isn’t important for them, which is the furthest thing from the truth.
