The start of 2017 is just around the corner which means that if you haven’t decided how you plan to ring in the new year you’ve got a limited amount of time to get things sorted out. It also means that it may be best to stay in and bring the party to you.
If you do plan on hosting an event at your home it’s important to take a few things into consideration:
Guestlist
Keeping who you invite limited to close friends and family may be your best best. Not only does this create a more special and intimate affair, it’s easier to account for everyone that is there when there are less people to keep track of.
Social Media
It’s an integral part of our lives but this is a night where it may be best to limit it’s use or stay off of it altogether. Live streaming your event may be a fun idea, but it can also let people know who isn’t currently at home which makes their homes vulnerable to potential break ins.
Drinking
Celebrating the new year with a champagne toast is tradition for many people; if you plan to serve alcohol at your party (or have encouraged others to bring their own) it’s important that it is enjoyed responsibly, and if over indulgence occurs that those guests will either be staying overnight or have a safe ride home via a designated driver, taxi, etc.
From the Henderson Security family to you and yours we wish a happy, healthy and safe new year!
